The Annual Picton Maritime Festival is back with a full program for Friday 20th and Saturday 21st January 2023!
On Friday, the locals concerts starts at 4PM and goes through to 10PM. MC'd by Gareth Barker, the evening starts with the Queens Charlotte College Kapa Haka and Pasifica Group Schools cultural performance. Come and support your friends and whanau perform on the Interislander stage on the Picton Foreshore. Gareth Barker will also melt your hearts with his renditions of family favourites. The evening ends with a stunning set from the band SUPERBAD (a massive hit from the 2020 festival). Don't forget, the Quarterdeck Bar will also be open.
As usual, Saturday starts at 11AM and goes through to the 10PM firework finale!
Plenty of Food and Craft stalls for you to browse till 5PM.
All the great entertainment from previous years will be there, Raft Races, Dinghy Races, Treasure Island, Face Painters etc. A whole trove of children's entertainers throughout the day, including Zappo the Magician, Stilt Walkers and the man that brought you a spunky, hanky cranky, stinky dinky, lanky, honky-tonky, winky wonky donkey, Craig Smith - The Wonkey Donkey Man.
In the evening, it kicks off with the Grumpy Monkeys, followed by Barry Saunders and Jackie Bristow, Gareth Barker and culminating with The Relatives taking us through to the firework finale. If you remember them from 2021, they are not to be missed!.
As usual the Quarterdeck Bar will be open from 5PM.
